Trigger Point Injections

Trigger point injections are a minimally invasive treatment designed to help relieve muscle pain and tension in specific areas of the body. These injections target “trigger points”, which are tight knots of muscle that can cause localized pain or refer pain to other areas.

Treatment Details

  • A trained provider identifies areas of muscle tightness or discomfort
  • A combination of Lidocaine, Marcaine (Bupivacaine), and/or Ketorolac is used to treat pain and inflammation in the affected joint or soft tissue
    • Lidocaine: A local anesthetic that temporarily blocks nerve signals to provide pain relief
    • Marcaine (Bupivacaine): A long-acting local anesthetic that provides prolonged pain relief
    • Ketorolac: A nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to reduce inflammation and alleviate pain
  • The injection is administered directly into the soft tissue to help relieve pain and inflammation, improve mobility, and provide symptomatic relief.
